Soltex global sales and marketing distribution of Shawinigan CP Chem acetylene black (AB) has been underway for months. CP Chem permanently shut down production of Shawinigan Black in November 2004.

Soltex will distribute Shawinigan AB for approximately 12 months of the remaining inventory. Soltex long-term business strategy is to identify, pre-qualify and approve new global sources of AB for our customers. The new products will be marketed under the Soltex brandname, Soltex ACE BLACK.

The company has available AB samples for Soltex ACE BLACK. Standard sample sizes in 1-gal containers include ACE BLACK AB50% - 0.5 KG and ACE BLACK AB100% in 1KG amounts. Bag sizes of 15 KG and 25 KG, respectively, now available.
