Viscosity Modifiers

Soltex Viscosity Modifiers deliver the most cost optimized solution for our customers.

Polybutenes are used in gear oils, hydraulic fluids, greases, metal working and two-cycle applications:

  • Polybutenes exhibit good high temperature properties.
  • Superior low temperature properties as compared to bright stock.
  • Products burn clean.
  • Compatible with both mineral oils and synthetics.
  • Are food-grade or H-1 approved.

PMMA (Polymethacrylate):

  • Reduce friction and wear.
  • Wide range of shear stability.
  • Effective thickening efficiency.
  • Available in a variety of base stocks.
  • Excellent cold flow properties.

OCP (Amorphous Olefin Copolymer):

  • Available in solid and solubilized form.
  • Used in medium range shear applications.
  • Broad utility in multiple application areas.
  • Cost effective.

Bright Stock Replacement:

  • Excellent viscosity index properties.
  • Good thermal and oxidative stability.
  • Superior thickening efficiency.
  • Shear Stable.
  • Lower treat rate.
  • Cost effective.
