  • They function as a tackifier when added to the resin used in producing the film.
  • Industrial uses of cling film include pallet over wrap and silage wrap
• High viscosity grades of polybutene impart superior tack. Polybutene adds tackiness to active pesticide/insecticide ingredients adding to their effectiveness.
• Vital to the formulation of tack in pressure-sensitive and hot-melt adhesives.
• Formulated cable compounds with tack add integrity to structural wire/cable components while providing water blockage functionality.
• Thermoplastic elastomers which exhibit negligible inherent tack are improved when formulated with polybutene. Increased tack has been demonstrated when polybutene is used in styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymers, natural rubber, and synthetic rubber.
